OPTIMALISASI DETEKSI DINI DAN EDUKASI DIET SEHAT UNTUK PENCEGAHAN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2

Diabetes Melitus (DM) Tipe 2 merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang prevalensinya meningkat secara global dan di Indonesia. Rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk melakukan deteksi dini serta kurangnya pengetahuan tentang diet sehat menjadi faktor risiko utama. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pencegahan DM Tipe 2 melalui deteksi dini dan edukasi diet sehat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Desa Tambakrejo, Kabupaten Kendal, melibatkan masyarakat, kader kesehatan, dan perangkat desa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemeriksaan sederhana (IMT, lingkar perut, gula darah), edukasi interaktif, simulasi menu sehat, dan pendampingan perubahan perilaku. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait diet sehat, meningkatnya kesadaran melakukan deteksi dini, serta keterlibatan aktif kader kesehatan dalam pendampingan. Program ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pencegahan DM Tipe 2 secara berkelanjutan.
